Scott Pemberton O Theory

Scott Pemberton O Theory is a unique Power Trio blending jazz, blues, rock/grunge, funk, and psychedelia, often in the same song. Scott's unorthodox guitar approach and improvisational style make each concert a fresh experience. His music, dubbed "Timber Rock," reflects the eclectic vibe of his native Portland, offering a refreshing and fun take on progressive roots music.

SambaDa!

2:00pm

Brazilian natives Papiba Godinho and Dandha da Hora lead SambaDá in creating samba-reggae-funk with universal appeal, blending Afro-Brazilian roots with North American funk and reggae. For over twenty years, SambaDá has mixed contemporary sounds with traditional Brazilian culture. Papiba, a Capoeira master, and Dandha, deeply rooted in Afro-Brazilian traditions, bring their rich heritage to the band's vibrant music and performances.

The Joint Chiefs

The Joint Chiefs, a versatile and exciting dance band from Northern California, have built a loyal following since their inception in 1990. They fuse funk, acid jazz, and classic R&B into their signature groove, creating infectious dance parties. Their impressive resume of performances and captivating sound make them a standout on both disc and stage.

Magick Blues Band

Since December 2017, the Magick Blues Band has been a resurgent force in San Jose and the Bay Area music scene, performing at local bars and venues. Originally a quartet, they expanded to a six-member group, delivering a powerful experience with their unique blend of original tunes and captivating covers. Sharing stages with legends like Eric Gales and Charlie Musselwhite, their sound channels elements of historic jam bands like The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers Band.

Sahar El Khatib

Sahar El Khatib, who began playing the Djembe drum in 2010 in Lebanon, studied under grand master Mamady Keita in Guinea in 2011, gaining an international platform in West African drumming. Her passion led her to Santa Cruz, California, where she works at Drumskull Drums and teaches drumming through the Arts Council of Santa Cruz. With over 14 years of experience, Sahar continues to learn from various West African artists and offers weekly classes at Drumskull Drums.

Summit Sisters

The Summit Sisters is an all-female rock/pop/folk cover band from the Santa Cruz Mountains who perform memorable hits from the 60s and 70s to the songs of today.  Fronting this group of talented women is their versatile lead singer, Marisa Thompson, who studied under the likes of Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock.  Her vocal strength, backed by the Sisters' sweet harmonies, powers through their rock, folk and soul repertoire.  Their fun stage presence, groovy pants and perfectly blended harmonies regularly fill music venues and gather new fans along the way. 

Oakflesh

Oakflesh is a local band from Santa Cruz With the mission to captivate an audience of shoe-gaze listeners as well as blending elements from Post-hardcore. The band consists of 2 guitars, bass, drums, and vocals. Their music is released on all Streaming Platforms, and are planning release new singles soon.

Lomadeus

Lomadeus is a local mountain band of four CT English seventh graders: Yaretzi Razonable (drummer), Liam Hart (lead guitar), Jackson Dorn (bass guitar), and Moxie Beyhm-Berger (singer and rhythm guitar). They gather weekly to jam and eat pizza in the Shred Shed. Lomadeus has performed at CT dances, opened for the Summit Sisters at the Harvest Fest, and will rock Mountain Jam in the fall.
